Welcome to the website of McPhail Memorial Baptist Church and greetings to you in the name of our Lord. If you're reading this, we might presume that you're searching
for a community in which to worship, or that you're seeking a Church family that will welcome you. If that's the case, you have come to the right place!
My name is Wayne Sollows and along with my wife, Carol, I was called in April 2004 to serve as the Pastor of McPhail. I want to say that we're thrilled and excited about
being here. McPhail Memorial has a long history and deep tradition of witness to the Good News of the Gospel in Ottawa (for more details, click "Our History", "Who We Are" and "Outreach" links).
You'll find the community at McPhail is a place to belong. Whether you come from a church background or you're just "young" in your faith, you can "fit in" at McPhail. Our
members and adherents come from all walks of life, all age groups, different ethnic, cultural and faith backgrounds. Whether you're on your own, a couple, or parents with children - Everyone
is Welcome! And although we're diverse, we have one thing in common: we have committed to following the teachings of Christ in our lives and we look to Him to guide us on this long, narrow
road called "Life".
Each Sunday morning our Worship begins at 10:30 - and we have something for everyone. Our Organist, along with the Choir under her direction, leads us in music that's
uplifting in its praise of God. Each week we focus on reading the Scriptures; we offer our prayers of praise and petition to God and we focus on a message that brings the teachings of scripture
"to life", that they may be applied to our lives in both a fresh and relevant way. In addition, we have a nursery for young moms and dads and their toddlers, as well as Sunday school classes for
children and teens (and we are always happy to have more!).
So, if you are tired of all the Bad News out there... in the paper, on the radio, on the television or the Internet, why not join us this Sunday morning? Through the Holy Spirit
give your spirit a boost with some Good News!
